Cincinnati Bengals Team History

The Cincinnati Bengals are an NFL team from Ohio and are part of the AFC North division. The team was founded in 1967 by former Cleveland Browns head coach Paul Brown, and their home games are held at Paycor Stadium. The Bengals won the AFC championship in 1981, 1988, and 2021 but struggled in the 1990s and early 2000s. They also had a resurgence in the late 2010s and early 2020s. After 31 years, they won their first playoff game during the 2021 season; they made back-to-back AFC Championship games and advanced to Super Bowl LVI in 2021 but ultimately lost to the Los Angeles Rams. In a Forbes article on the value of NFL teams as of August 2022, the Bengals were ranked last with a value of $3 billion.
